Self love shows someone eating their own heart, and in a state of bliss as she bleeds out in a pool of her own blood. Inspired by manga, I illustrated it so there was very little shading, allowing the linework and two bold colors to carry the artwork.
Digitally, the illustration is quite clean. However, in risograph form, it is quite messy. While they both have their charm, the messy look suits the image better. The paper selected is the ‘stardust’ paper. This is a white paper with different fleks, meant to simulate the different marks on human skin.
