Hermes Giles is a queer twin cities based artist. They have been drawing since they were in high school, and fell in love. They started out simply wanting to re-imagine and illustrate the characters they loved, but realized that they wanted to do more than that. So, they followed that path to becoming a professional artist.

They are primarily a digital artist with work that ranges from illustrations to photography. They are often inspired by the macabre and the cute, something they incorporate into their work. They have a particular fondness for tarot inspired work and playing around with the themes, as shown by their multiple projects surrounding the subject matter. Two of those projects are their photography project Upright and Reversed and a re-imagining of the Death card in the form of a birthday card.

They are a graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. They have had work displayed at Family Tree Clinic, and done illustrations for various anthologies. They have participated in the MCAD art sale for two years, and vended in multiple local zinefests including the Midwest Queer Trans Zinefest in 2024. They have also read their zines at local events throughout 2024 and 2025.
